Pottery and Throwing Experience in Devon.

A chance to introduce yourself to the Zen like mindfulness and addictive world of pottery. Staying in our well appointed shepherds hut you will have the chance to wind down and slip into a Devon frame of mind. You will learn how to throw and hand build your first creations. Along with learning to throw and hand build pots you will also experience glazing and the drama of raku firing. We are sure that you will leave our course with energy and inspiration to make the mindfulness of pottery and clay a part of your life going forward.

Our residential throwing and clay experience will allow you to learn essential techniques.

Places: 2

Duration: 3 days. Core teaching hours: 10am – 4pm daily.

Please arrive at 9:30am on the first day of your course.

Equipment & materials: clay and a basic tool kit is provided. We focus on building core skills and working directly with the clay to get the most from a core selection of tools. Please bring additional tools if you wish to use them along with an apron and hand towel.

You will leave with: one piece that will be fired in our kiln & posted to you* up to 4 weeks after the course has finished. This piece needs to be within the footprint of 20 x 20 x 20cm. Please bring a box and packing material for any additional items you may wish to take with you.
